    Answer: You are probably using Microsoft Internet Explorer which has a setting that does not print web page background colors.

    The setting is under the Tools | Internet Options | Advanced Tab | Printing section. The particular option you want is called something like 'Print background images and colors'. The grid lines are not printing because this setting is turned off. Turn it on.

    Other browsers may have a similar setting.
